Love or hate her, it’s undeniable that there’s something hypnotizing about Kim Kardashian. And the details in her recent day-in-the-life Harper’s Bazaar feature, which appears in the magazine’s May issue, are nothing less than intriguing — right down to what she eats in an average day. Just like her fine-tuned exercise schedule, diet is essential to maintaining her famous curves. And wow, does she take it seriously.

Here’s everything we’ve learned about her closely self-monitored eating habits:

Although she’s fairly consistent in her breakfast choices, Kardashian and husband Kanye West seem to have what we’ll call “diet ADD”:

“I’ll usually have scrambled eggs or oatmeal, or a protein shake with fruit. Kanye loves to eat really healthy and is always on different diets. He has a chef who comes in the morning and cooks breakfast for both of us and gets our meal plans together for the day. We just started seeing a nutritionist who changes our diet every 10 days.”

Yep, every 10 days. It helps that she has, well, help. No sad desk lunches for Kim:

“I prefer to have the chef make my lunch because it’ll be healthier. Lately it’s been fish and vegetables, or chicken and vegetables, something like that.”

But let’s give credit where credit is due: girl has some serious self-control. Despite acknowledging that Häagen-Dazs’s dulce de leche ice cream is her “favorite thing in life,” she usually opts for something a tad less sugary:

“If I need a sweet-tooth fix, I’ll have those Justin’s peanut butter packs; the almond butter is also really good. I’ll just eat it plain.”

Fake sugar, however, is a different story:

“I used to drink a ton of iced tea, but I’ve cut back. I had the craziest addiction to Equal — I’d put 10 Equals in every iced tea. My sister Kourtney would always say, ‘You can’t have that much sweetener!’ I’ve trained myself to have just one iced tea a week, and I’m down to three Equals.”

Just saying: Nowhere in sight is Kim’s Velveeta-spiked mac and cheese, which appeared in mom Kris Jenner’s cookbook In the Kitchen With Kris. We’ll give you a pass this time, Kim — we just hope you enjoy yourself once in awhile. Remember, life is short. Eat Häagen-Dazs.
